Send the page URL, the figure as written, and a link to a specific document that contradicts it. A sourced contradiction changes the page and moves its checked date.
Contact: corrections and disagreements
issue ISSUE 01checked 2026-09-16responsible Escapement Papers (a named bench, not a person)
What to send
- The URL of the page. One page per message; do not batch.
- The figure you think is wrong, quoted exactly as the page states it.
- The source that contradicts it, as a link to a specific document — not a home page and not a search result.
- Whether you want the figure changed or a disagreement recorded. Both are useful; they are different edits.
What happens next
If the source is a specific document and it contradicts the page, the figure changes and the page's checked date moves. If the sources genuinely disagree with each other, the disagreement is recorded rather than resolved, as a note with the dates and both positions side by side. If the source cannot be opened, nothing changes and you are told why.
What will not happen
- No page will be changed to a figure that has no source, however plausible it is.
- No definition page will be reworded to look fresh.
- No product will be recommended, in either direction.
- No correction will be made anonymously on a page about somebody's watch.
There is no form on this site and no analytics on this site, so the mailbox is the only channel. If the mailbox is not yet live, the bench is not yet deployed and this page is the last thing to fix.

One link, one document, titled as it titles itself. No home pages, no search results.
